What got you into Yoga?

My first Yoga class was in my NYC studio apartment. 19 years old. I wore leotards! My instruction was from the book, "Richard Hittleman's Yoga: 28 Day Exercise Plan." I loved that routine and practiced religiously for a couple of years and then as needed for nearly two decades.

5 Reasons Why Yoga is Good for Your Back

Warrior OneMany practicioners in the Yoga community will tell you that Yoga can relieve back pain. Teachers see it first hand and often have experienced it first hand.

Hot Hatha Hour

New Blend of Heat and Postures

Hot Hatha Hour is a blend of heat and hatha yoga. Mei incorporates arm strengthening and standing poses not traditionally taught in the hot classes. Heat facilitates opening in the body. This is one of main reasons students say they enjoy it. This class is perfect for hot yoga students looking for diversity and hatha students looking for some heat.

Amrit Yoga

Strengthen, Relax and Apply Yoga to Your Daily Life

The Amrit method is a dynamically active, deeply meditative, holistic style of Yoga that combines tenets from Hatha and Raja Yoga into a comprehensive system. This style uses asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra (tuning through sound) and meditation to facilitate wellness.

This particular class emphasizes three key points: core strength, deep relaxation and the ability to apply Yogic techniques in your daily interactions.

This class is appropriate for all levels.
