Summer is on the horizon and will be in view for many months to come. I have already begun some of my summer rituals—cold showers, iced sun tea and perhaps most importantly, an afternoon siesta.

Restorative/Therapeutic Yoga is a gentle and flexible approach which accommodates students with different conditions, physical abilities, and emotional and spiritual needs.

Sessions typically include deep stretching, guided meditation, breath work, adaptations to poses and the use of props to provide complete support in certain poses.

The Amrit method is a dynamically active, deeply meditative, holistic style of Yoga that combines tenets from Hatha and Raja Yoga into a comprehensive system. This style uses asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra (tuning through sound) and meditation to facilitate wellness.

This particular class emphasizes three key points: core strength, deep relaxation and the ability to apply Yogic techniques in your daily interactions.
