Eight gifts others receive when you practice yoga

The practice of yoga makes improvements within us that make us better companions, parents, children and siblings.

Give yourself the gift of yoga and here are eight gifts that others will receive.

  • The ability to remain inwardly calm makes you a pleasure to be with during times of stress - like during the holidays.
  • Your ability to deal with others will grow with practice as you focus more and more on them and less on yourself.
  • You'll have an over all sense of well being. If you feel better, others around you will feel better.
  • You'll have better focus. Others will sense that you are present to them and not distracted.
  • You'll become less obsessed with material things and focused more on the real things like family.
  • Yoga gradually increases your compassion which makes others around you feel secure and validated.
  • As you practice non-violence (ahimsa), you'll become a source of comfort and safety to others as well as a harmonious part of the environment.
  • You will become more grateful and others will sense the upbeat, positive spirit that gratitude nurtures.
