Why Join the Yoga Village Organic Produce Coop?

Expect a large variety of organic produce, some of which is unavailable in stores.

Save money. The cost of the co-op is $45 per produce basket. This purchases more produce than you could in a store because you get it at wholesale prices. You can also share your basket with a friend for half that cost.

The Co-op is an environmentally friendly choice to make. Local farmers and seasonal produce are preferrenced by the buyer.

Save time. Pick up your basket every other Wednesday at Yoga Village and you're set for 2 weeks.

Eating right is easier. With the variety of produce and recipes with each basket, you'll be able to prepare the freshest food available all year long when you join the Yoga Village Co-op.

How Do I Purchase Co-op Produce?

You can sign up at Yoga Village by the Friday before the produce is delivered, which is every other Wednesday. The cost is $45.

You can try the co-op once with no obligation to purchase in the future.  We need a stable number to maintain the co-op and members are encouraged to find someone to accept your delivery if you are on vacation.  We need a 30-day notice if you decide to drop out of the coop.

If you decide to join the co-op, you will need to purchase 2 50-quart bins with lids, which are available at Target and Wal-Mart for about $5 each. Write your name on the lids and bins.

You'll drop off your empty bin with the $45 check and pick up your produce at Yoga Village on Wednesday of every other week.

Feel free to contact Yoga Village for additional questions and for procedures on picking up your bin after hours. This is a fun and easy way to get cheap, organic produce.

Yoga Village organizes the co-op at no charge, so that purchasers and farmers can transact without the ever widening band of middle men between them. Namaste'

Are there any member reviews or examples of what a delivery could consist of?

Payment in Advance

I left a payment on 11/19/10 and returned on 12/1/10 to find the check had not been collected. I dropped off the next payment at that time, but as the prior check had not been collected, there was no produce waiting for me (Long / Dauterman). So, I should be paid ahead by one payment; would you please confirm that?

Are there any adjustments to the delivery schedule due to the holidays?

Sincerely,

Laura Long
