Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is asking for the community's help to prepare for injured birds and coastal cleanup. The Sanctuary is asking for volunteers and items to be donated. The Sanctuary staff and volunteers were a significant workforce in the disastrous 1993 Tampa Bay oil spill and have experienced avian care staff on standby to assist. The Sanctuary is a local drop-off center for the needed donations. Please bring the items to the Sanctuary at 18328 Gulf Blvd, Indian Shores. For more information: seabirdsanctuary.com
Barb Walker has offered to be a north - county collection point. You can drop off items with her at: 3019 Bradford Circle; Palm Harbor 34685. She will make sure the Sanctuary receives them.

You Can Take Action In Many Ways
1. Volunteer to rescue injured birds and clean oil off Florida's beaches.
2. Sign the Petition opposing state and federal plans to expand oil drilling in Florida's waters.
3. Contribute to our special fund to rescue birds injured by the oil spill and underwrite advocacy so this never happens again.
4. Recruit your friends and family to join Audubon's response efforts.

Tap the Energy of Healing Mantra
Yoga Village encourages you to participate in any way you can. We would also ask that you stay positive and calm about the evolving situation--anger and anxiety are not helpful. One meditation that is said to bring deep healing, to oneself and anyone or thing you wish, is 'Ra Ma Da Sa, Sa Say So Hung.' Sit in easy pose with a straight spine. Bring your arms in toward your body so that the upper arms are up against the ribs and place the palms skyward at a 60-degree angle from the body. Close the eyes and chant this mantra for three to 31 minutes. Feel the healing energy that comes into your hands, and at the end of the meditation meditate on bringing healing to the wildlife and people affected by the oil spill and to the planet. Feel your prayer connect and know that grace is with you. Sat-Nam
