Summer is on the horizon and will be in view for many months to come. I have already begun some of my summer rituals—cold showers, iced sun tea and perhaps most importantly, an afternoon siesta.

It's common in the hotter regions of the world to dial it down during the hottest hours of the day. And even if our ramped-up American culture doesn't support the practice of resting for it's own sake, we can buck the system for our own well-being. I do, anyway. Feel free to join revolution.

Celebrating Peace in Song

Snatam Kaur returned to Clearwater on her 'Celebrating Peace' Tour on October 1. She is known for her crystalline voice and for bringing ancient mantra's to modern audiences. Most of the songs are done in kirtan, call and response. She encourages audience participation and may even lead the audience through a round of breath of fire, a powerful pranayama from the Kundalini Yoga tradition. GuruGanesha played guitar and Ramesh played percussion.  Read more
