What got you into yoga?
After struggling with addictions for many years, I joined a recovery program and achieved sobriety. As a result I gained a sense of well-being and some clarity of mind. But I was still misssing some sort of connection or belonging until yoga found its way into my life. It gave me purpose.
Destructive behaviors no longer served me as a tool for coping with stressful situations and chaos. My yoga practice and my breath, on and off the mat, help me to deal with all matters at hand. It is a much happier and healthier way of life.
When and why did you decide to start teaching?
My days center around studying, learning, and practicing yoga. What better way is there to share this amazing gift with others.
Describe your training and influential teachers
I enjoy learning all I can from so many experienced yoga instructors. I had recieved yoga training for the fundamentals and basics but it was the completion of my 200 hours with Anala Yoga's teacher training course and getting my certification that changed my life.
Describe your practice
Although I enjoy practicing ALL styles of yoga, my preference is Ashtanga-based Vinyasa Flow. I like to mix it up, add power and challenging postures, but also offer and welcome modifications. I think it is important to get alignment right to avoid any injury. I advise my students to respect their body and honor limitations. There is no perfect pose and no two people are alike.
Additional thoughts and insights
I suggest never to compare yourself or judge another practice. I encourage students to stay in the present moment and focus on the breath, have a positive attitude and most of all HAVE FUN!
Linda teaches Power Yoga on Mondays and Thursdays at noon and 8:30AM on Sundays.

Linda's classes
Love love love Linda and her classes! She is so in tune with what the class is able to accomplish on a given day- so able to give you a way to achieve a challenging posture. Her classes provide a much needed "oomph" to my practice at YV. Would love to see more classes like hers on the regular schedule.
Thanks Linda!! And thanks Yoga Village for putting this type of class on the schedule, much missing this since Kathy's class was removed.
Linda as a friend and person
Linda is a positive influence in my life. Yoga is her life. She is committed and dedicated to her work and her health. I have seen the peace of mind it gives her, myself, and others. She gives 100% and stays up to date with an open mind. I can testify to this as I have known her for the past ten years. She is a wonderful person both inside and out.
